Our people

Datatec employs over 11 000 people in more than 50 countries across the world. The Group strives to attract and retain the best talent, and recognises that it is imperative to ensure that its people are prioritised.

Career development, training and skills accreditation programmes are fundamental to the success of our people and our business: in FY25 we invested US$3.4 million in this area, a significant increase from FY24 (US$3.0 million).

We believe in maintaining a fair, inclusive culture and in ensuring that our employees have optimal working conditions and opportunities for growth and development.
We look to enhance prospects for our employees through our inclusion and belonging programmes while ensuring employee wellbeing, health and safety and endeavouring to be a great place to work.

Datatec is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to providing a working environment that is free from discrimination. We recognise the importance of purposefully embedding inclusion and belonging into our work practices across the Group. This remains a consistent, growing focus and is shaping the values that define the culture of Datatec.

Transformation is a strategic priority across Datatec and its divisions. We continue to comply with legislation and work on areas of improvement. In South Africa, Datatec has improved to achieve a Level 3 BBBEE rating; WestconGroup SA’s rating was maintained at Level 1; and Logicalis SA also maintained its Level 1 rating.

Across the Group, there were eight country locations that achieved “Great Place to Work” certifications in FY25. In addition, another 27 countries were accredited post year-end when Westcon International received its results, the first time the division has sought and achieved the certification.

At the FY25 year-end, 30% of employees were female, and 31% of leadership roles (defined as CEO, CEO-1 and CEO-2 levels) were held by women.
