Logicalis International – Responsible business

The Logicalis International responsible business strategy is rooted in understanding how it can support the social and environmental challenges that face the regions in which it operates. Logicalis International has incorporated sustainability and acting responsibly into the fabric of its identity and how it does business.

This thinking and activity has been categorised into three pillars, aligned with the Datatec Group responsible business programme: our communities, our planet and our people.

Our communities

Logicalis International’s social and community development goal is to improve education for the next generation and to support local charities in the communities that it operates in. Its focus is on supporting education in STEM, and enabling opportunities for women and minority groups around the world to enter and be supported within the ICT sector.

Logicalis International continued to support these future “Architects of Change” through education in FY25, implementing 21 community initiatives in this area across the division in the US, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific. In total, over US$$230 000 was donated by the division globally to community projects and local charities (both education‑focused and other).

Examples of Logicalis International’s strategic community projects undertaken in FY25 include:

  • The Logicalis International bursaries programme in South Africa: provides financial assistance to individuals from previously disadvantaged communities to pursue formal qualifications in STEM-related fields. In FY25, 22 bursaries were awarded worth US$55 000 in funding.
  • The “Grad Girls” programme in Australia: Logicalis Australia is a proud sponsor of the Grad Girls programme. In FY25, 40 female graduate students were hosted at the Melbourne office. The event featured a panel discussion on “What I Wish I Knew”, with industry representatives and a customer outcome challenge designed to promote collaboration, innovation and problem solving.
  • The Apadrina TIC programme in Spain: Logicalis Spain is a key sponsor of this initiative which provided scholarships and mentorship to seven financially disadvantaged STEM students from universities in Catalonia.

In FY25, a “Theory of Change” was developed for the Logicalis International communities pillar. This was done with a view to clarifying the outcomes and impact sought from community investments, and improving the quality of projects that it develops. In FY26, the business will be applying the theory to key existing projects and continue to pursue its long-term strategic community goals.

Our planet

Logicalis International’s role as a global technology service provider provides both an opportunity and a responsibility to take the lead in contributing to solutions for a sustainable future. It strives to improve its environmental performance in order to contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet.

To strengthen its sustainability efforts, the Logicalis Environmental Council was established. This council serves as a central body, providing strategic direction, promoting collaboration, and ensuring accountability for achieving environmental and climate goals.

Logicalis International has committed to being a carbon neutral global organisation by 2025 and had other goals validated by the SBTi to drive a reduction in its global emissions.

LOGICALIS INTERNATIONAL’S VALIDATED COMMITMENTS

Reach net-zero emissions across the value chain by FY50

A 50% reduction in absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions by FY30 from FY22 base year

85% of suppliers by spend covering purchased goods and services having science-based targets by FY28

A90% reduction in absolute scope 1 and 2 emissions by FY50 from FY22 base year

1. Note: the carbon emissions data presented in the table has not been audited and should not be considered as an assurance of the accuracy and completeness of such information.
2. FY24 scope 1 and 2 figures, published in the FY24 annual report, have been restated to reflect updated calculation methodologies used in FY25 and applied to prior year figures to ensure comparability.

The year-on-year reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions (market-based) is primarily attributed to decreased fuel consumption (diesel and petrol) in vehicles across Logicalis International, leading to lower scope 1 emissions. The division’s renewable electricity usage remained the same at 22% during FY25 compared to FY24.

The total scope 3 emissions have also reduced markedly, partly because of decreased spend and partly due to improved calculation methodologies. The hybrid approach taken, combining spend-based and data-based methods, has been refined by incorporating more accurate activity data and optimising spend-based estimations. This includes updated emission factors being used for Logicalis International’s major categories (purchased goods and services, use of sold products, and end-of-life treatment of sold products), which may reflect less carbon intensive processes in the value chain.

Logicalis International has achieved its goal of being carbon neutral by 2025 as a result of offsetting all of its FY25 scope 1 and 2 emissions post year-end as set out above.

Some of Logicalis International’s other key environmental achievements in FY25 include:

  • The implementation of Envizi, IBM’s ESG software, a compliance-ready solution for corporate and supply chain greenhouse gas emissions data that provides comprehensive data collection and analytics functionality to manage and derive insights from sustainability data. As a result, data coverage and accuracy has improved markedly
  • The continued development of its customer sustainability score, providing its managed services customers with an environmental impact score across its global technology solutions to help them understand their IT emissions and recommendations on how they can improve
  • Winning the “Cisco Sustainability Partner of the Year” award for the second year running
  • The continued implementation of a sustainable travel policy to help Logicalis International make more environmentally friendly decisions and reduce its scope 3 emissions

FY26 plans

  • Develop and implement targeted, specific emissions reduction plans for each materially contributing country of operation
  • Review and improve, where possible, the methodology used to calculate Logicalis International’s scope 3 emissions major categories and engage with suppliers and/ or customers as appropriate to discuss reduction plans
  • Undertake financial quantification exercise of material physical climate risks (identified in FY25 as extreme heat and water stress).
  • Continue to switch to renewable energy, with all operations targeted to achieve the switch by 2030

Developing talent

At Logicalis International, the focus on delivery of advanced technologies to clients requires a high level of technical expertise. Leadership teams collaborate closely with strategic partners to ensure that employees are trained appropriately and have the necessary accreditations.

Logicalis International also recognises the important role of leaders across the division and continued to embed and promote its “Global Leadership Framework” in FY25. This included investing in its leadership capability through a growing suite of leadership development opportunities, whereby Logicalis International delivered 10 leadership programmes ranging from three-hour workshops to nine-month academies. In total, 210 leaders undertook leadership development activities, and c.240 days of leadership development was delivered (across all attendees and programmes).

Since 2021, Logicalis International has been able to achieve a significant increase in female participation in “High Potential” and “Global Leadership Academy” programmes across the world. As a result, the number of females in senior roles continues to grow, from 29% in FY24 to 34% in FY25. In addition, the female succession pipeline increased from 17% to 29%.

To continue to deliver on its ambition of embedding a learning culture, FY25 saw the launch of Logicalis International’s first global “Learning Management System” (“LMS”). The initial rollout was to all of its technology and sales teams across all entities. In the nine months of operation to date, this has delivered 1 651 days of learning in total.

To enable senior management to understand what employees think and feel about working for Logicalis International, a continuous listening “Pulse” platform gives access to real-time feedback and analytics, from which improvement opportunities can be identified.

Inclusion and belonging

Logicalis International is committed to creating an engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce which is balanced in terms of representation through all employee levels in the division. Logicalis International recognises that its people are critical to the ongoing success of the division and strives to attract the best talent from a broad range of backgrounds. It is dedicated to promoting equity and fairness in the workplace, as well as creating an inclusive environment where all employees feel a sense of belonging and can contribute meaningfully to shared goals.

The “Global Inclusion Council” is a committee of leaders who, together with the people team, provide guidance and direction on inclusion and belonging initiatives across the division, help shape and endorse relevant policies, and facilitate communication and alignment between regional activities and global strategy in this area. The council continues to work to identify more opportunities for Logicalis International to grow and enhance its culture so all employees feel valued and can thrive.

Areas of focus in FY25 included investing in processes to attract a wider range of candidates to facilitate diverse talent selection, a programme of inclusion and belonging events, and continued roll-out of training programmes (including introductory courses and inclusive leadership training).

Wellness

Logicalis International is committed to supporting its people through every aspect of their wellbeing journeys. It encourages and supports the cultivation of good health habits, the achievement of clarity and balance, and opportunities to stay connected to each other and with its communities.

The employee assistance programmes unique to each Logicalis International operation provide professional support in various areas such as emotional support, legal information, financial support, psychological support, medical information, wellbeing assessments, and health and nutrition information. The employee assistance programmes strengthen Logicalis International’s commitment to employee wellbeing and its EVP.
