Management Consulting comprises Mason Advisory Limited while the Corporate segment includes the net operating costs of the Datatec head office entities.

The Corporate segment includes Group head office companies, including the ultimate Logicalis holding company, Logicalis Group Limited and its associated costs, the consolidated results of Kumulus (Brazil), and Group consolidation adjustments.

Financial performance

Management Consulting

Mason Advisory Limited generated revenue of US$37.1 million (three-month consolidated results for FY24: US$9.6 million) and EBITDA of US$2.8 million in FY25 (three-month consolidated results for FY24: US$1.2 million). As at 28 February 2025, Mason Advisory Limited had net cash of US$3.9 million (FY24: US$2.8 million).

Corporate

The Corporate segment includes the net operating costs of the Datatec head office entities. Excluding Kumulus, the net operating costs were US$26.4 million (FY24: US$22.6 million), including share-based payment charges of US$5.6 million (FY24: US$6.3 million) and US$1.0 million restructuring costs. Corporate costs include the remuneration of the Board and head office staff, share-based payments, as well as consulting fees and audit fees. In FY25, net foreign exchange losses were US$0.3 million (FY24: US$0.6 million net foreign exchange gains).

As at 28 February 2025, Datatec head office entities held cash of US$41.2 million (FY24: US$40.0 million) of which US$1.4 million (FY24: US$10.5 million) is held in South Africa and subject to the South African Reserve Bank regulations.

In April 2024, Logicalis Group Limited purchased 7.04% of Kumulus from the minority shareholders. As the Group owns 68.4% of Promon Logicalis Latin America Limited, this resulted in a current effective shareholding in Kumulus of 67.4%. The Group has consolidated the results of Kumulus from the acquisition date in the current period as part of the Corporate and Management Consulting segment. Revenue of US$2.2 million, net operating costs of US$2.2 million and an EBITDA loss of US$0.8 million has been consolidated from this acquisition in the current year.
